Making Sundays special at Loch Katrine

Loch Katrine - SS Walter Scott (g3creative) (Small)

The sounds of summer at beautiful Loch Katrine will be more enchanting than ever this year – as the classic steamship Sir Walter Scott sets sail on Sundays during July and August for a special early evening jazz cruise, a great way to celebrate a special occasion, or a truly memorable highlight of a perfect day out.

The combination of the beautiful scenery which surrounds Loch Katrine, wonderful jazz and blues music from well-known local and Scottish bands, and the opportunity to enjoy sailing on the ship which has been part and parcel of the landscape of The Trossachs for 115 years is sure to be a special experience for visitors from near and far.

As the views across the loch slip gently by, visitors can relax and enjoy the fully accessible facilities on board the steamship, which include a fully-licensed bar and servery, and comfortable lounges.

Jazz Cruises will depart from Trossachs Pier (where facilities include The Brenachoile Cafe Bar and Restaurant) every Sunday at 4:00pm (from the 28th June until the 30th of August) arriving back at 6:00pm.

The Loch Katrine Jazz Cruises are sure to be popular, so advance reservations are recommended, and tickets (from £22.00) can be purchased online at, or from the Information Office at Loch Katrine (Tel. 01877 376315 or 376316).
